“The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring. This covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.”
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1601
In the Sacrament of Matrimony, a man and woman are united in a lifelong covenant of love, becoming a living sign of Christ’s faithful love for His Church.
Couples preparing for marriage are asked to use the parish contact form well in advance to schedule an appointment with the pastor. A preparation period of 3–6 months is normally required to ensure proper formation and readiness for the sacrament.
