St. Augustine’s Liturgical Ministries offer parishioners a way to live their baptismal call by serving God and the parish community. The gifts and talents of parishioners help make celebrations of the Mass life-giving.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Extraordinary Ministers assist with distribution of the Eucharist at Mass. Participants must be registered, practicing Catholics who have received Confirmation.
Lectors
Lectors proclaim the Word of God and the Prayers of the Faithful. A love for Scripture and strong reading and speaking skills are important. Lectors must be registered, practicing Catholics who have received Confirmation.
Altar Servers
Altar Servers assist the priest at the altar. This ministry is open to boys and girls who are registered, practicing Catholics and have received First Holy Communion.
Ushers
Ushers welcome and assist people at Mass and parish celebrations. They help with seating, congregation flow, special needs, the collection, and bulletin distribution. Ushers must be registered, practicing Catholics who have received Confirmation.
